What Is a Chiropractic Treatment?

First,find the problem

Doctors of Chiropractic effectively treat headaches, neck problems, shoulder, elbow, and wrist problems. Hip, knee, ankle and foot conditions also respond well to conservative chiropractic manipulative therapy.  So, the first step is assessing your body to find the cause of your problem with a thorough examination including physical, orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests. X-rays should be taken only if necessary.

Then, design a solution

After reviewing the findings, the doctor should explain your problem, and if chiropractic is indicated, design an appropriate treatment plan recommendation.

Treatments therapies may include

Adjustments of the spine or other joints (also known as spinal or joint manipulation)

Posture Exercise designed for your body to retrain poor patterns of body motion.

Physio-therapy (i.e. Ultrasound, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Cryotherapy, Hydrocollator, and/or Intersegmental mobilization)

Massage to stretch tight muscles
