Coaching for Strong Posture to Decrease Stress
Posture awareness and posture exercise is a way to decrease stress in the mind and body. We can see an example of this by retracting the neck and leveling the head to reorient our perspective of the world around us. When we are practicing new postures we are aligning and moving very differently then we currently know. While the way we feel and breathe are better with new postures, our old postures are very ingrained and newer more correct ways feel awkward.
What will motivate us to practice new postures if feeling and breathing better is not enough. How will we continue to train our bodies when the correct postures may not feel natural. Coaching sessions act as reinforcements. The added certainty of knowing that one is practicing what indeed will help make positive changes should keep the serious student motivated. Reduction of stress is an end result.
